Where experience works both ways.

Compare notes with peers, offer a little mentoring or find paid work that draws on your experience. Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. You choose who to help, how much time to give and, for paid work, the terms you agree.

Find the experience you need

Find people who have walked in your shoes, learn from their experiences and succeed with their help. Sometimes a short conversation is enough; other times, a specialist or team when you need more.

Share your experience, exchange ideas and learn from people who understand your work. Find useful support, help others move forward and discover opportunities when they’re right for you.

Core membership is free. Paid tools are optional.

Communities of Excellence

Find your communities.

Our first eleven communities connect people around real business challenges. Find familiar expertise, explore something new and meet people who understand your work. You can belong in more than one. On joining we’ll make suggestions on the ones we think will appeal. Challenges often cross communities. doshin helps you connect with the mix of experience you need.

Communities are shaped by members. We will add others where there is a clear need and people committed to making them useful.

What supports your experience

Your experience, with substance behind it.

Build a professional record that helps others understand what you have done, where you can contribute and what supports your experience.

Experience shared
Your account of what you have done and contributed.
Framework assessed
Your experience considered against relevant professional criteria.
Peer reviewed
An experienced practitioner reviews the evidence and confirms what it supports.
Delivery evidenced
Evidence from particular work supports your contribution and its outcomes.
Our approach to reviews

Reviews will focus on specific experience and the evidence supporting it. Relevant practitioners will assess what that evidence supports, with relationships and conflicts declared.

Confirmation from someone involved in the work will be distinguished from independent review. Where evidence is limited, that will be made clear. Members will be able to request corrections and submit additional evidence.

Start simply. Build your record at your own pace. Different parts of your experience may have different kinds of support. You choose what to share.

The shape of your experience

Different strengths.
A clearer picture.

Your experience may span several communities. A radar brings that breadth into view, helping people see where you could contribute.

A specialist’s shape may look very different from a generalist’s. What matters is the experience a piece of work needs.

The detail behind each area shows what you have done and the evidence supporting it.

Before you join

Do I have to be looking for work?

No. Join to seek perspectives, contribute experience or both. Employed, independent, early in your career and between roles all belong.

Can I also find or commission paid work?

Yes. Find opportunities through your experience and evidence, or connect with someone who can help. If you decide to work together, agree scope, rates and terms directly, with no doshin placement fee or rate markup. Explore the ways to work together.

Do I need a CV or an assessment?

No. Start with your role, context and what you want to do. Add supporting evidence when it is useful to you.

Who controls what others see?

Your questions and conversations remain private unless you choose to share them. You choose who can see your professional record. You review assessment findings before sharing them. You can correct facts and respond to findings; reviewers remain responsible for the judgement they sign.

Am I expected to take on work or help others?

No. You decide which requests to consider. Scope, time and any payment are agreed before you accept.

What happens after I register?
